Volunteering to be a class parent is a great way to get involved, get to know your child’s teacher, and spend quality time with your child inside the classroom.
You will work with one other class parent, and your shared responsibilities include:
- Working with the teacher to plan class parties/events and attend field trips when needed
- Collecting class money in September for holiday parties and teacher gifts throughout the year
- Sending out emails to parents regarding PTA events
- Organizing door decorations for staff appreciation week
- Attending at least 2 PTA meetings over the course of the school year
