The Hillside PTA needs volunteers throughout the school year.  We have six executive board member positions, and there are more than FIFTY committees.  Because our mission is so vast, there’s bound to be a volunteer position that’s just the right fit for you.  Some jobs need to be done every week – others require only a few hours once a year.  Whether it’s overseeing a major event or just helping the kids shop at the Holiday Shoppe or Book Fair, WE NEED YOU.  Please email or contact any PTA Executive Board member to find out more.  Volunteering may be the most important time you spend all year!

Open Chair Positions:

• LMAC Representative – Attend LMAC (Livingston Municipal Alliance Committee) meetings.  LMAC focuses on preventing the illegal use and abuse of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs in the home, school and community.  Contact Denise Dunton at denise.dunton@gmail.com if you’re interested in volunteering.
• Memorial Day Parade Coordinator – Organize Hillside students to march in the Livingston Memorial Day parade.  Fill out the paperwork with the town committee and responsible for advertising the event in the PTA newsletter.  Contact Denise Dunton at denise.dunton@gmail.com if you’re interested in volunteering.

 

 

Volunteer Opportunities:

• Media Volunteer – Assists in the Media Center by checking books in and out and re-shelving books upon return for your child’s class.  Contact Amy Drost, our Media Coordinator, at amy.drost@gmail.com, to volunteer.
  
• Carnival – Hillside’s Carnival is a super fun event for our school community, but it takes a bunch of volunteers to set it up and run it!  We need a bunch of volunteers to make this event a success for our children, so please SIGN UP HERE to volunteer!  If you have any questions, please reach out to Kim Krentcil at kkrentcil@gmail.com.
